The Spark of Innovation
"There's a Goldilocks zone for creativity: smart enough to make things happen and too dumb to see it's not possible."
My son's godfather—an IT manager at a rural utility—said, "Let's hook a level to a Wi‑Sun radio and run it through our meter network. Dirt cheap. Instant fallen‑pole alerts." He may be old and bald, but inside, that man has curly blond locks.
15 Years in the Field
15 years in the rural utility world taught me to speak pole, count to 10, and to see our nation's power grid as a wonder of the world. I've worn the boots of a pole inspector, the badge of an IT technical specialist, the hat of a data analytics coach, and worked with rural utilities to design over 200 staking sheet templates.
People Who Matter
I'm here because of people who raised my bar for what matters. My wife backed the leap to start this venture. My mom funded the early days from her teacher's pension. And my dad, a firefighter, gave me the confidence that I can save lives.
Leadership Philosophy
That mix shaped how I work and how I lead: practical, field‑first, and as a servant to my community. Just as important, I, too, have curly blond locks.
The Mission Today
Today, I'm channeling that background into a sensor that protects families and communities and pays for itself by providing actionable insights about the integrity of the grid.
